At least for me the 2 big projects that we built with Drupal were nightmares, for us and for the client.

We since moved to silverstripe which is a fabulous CMS in php, and our clients are really happy with it.

@Pablo – I agree – I’d love to see the community work together to significantly increase the number of open-source symfony projects. I think this is somewhere we’re lacking. Personally, I’d like to use symfony as the base for all of my solutions, but until we have more open-source solutions, it’s an uphill battle.

Just because a project exists does not mean they are guaranteed to succeed. An aspect of this is the competition between projects for mindshare.

We already developed with symfony 1.2. We will migrate it to Doctrine and symfony 1.4 before releasing it. Expect some announcements in the coming weeks.
