At ServerGrove we like conferences. We think they are very valuable for developers and we try to assist as many as we can as it allows us to get in touch with the community and shapers of Open Source.

Every a few months we publish a post regarding news about PHP conferences. In the last few years the number of conferences being held around the globe has increased dramatically. 2011 spawned a few days ago but we felt it was time to do one of those articles due to the number of conferences being held right at the start of the new year.

Here is a quick list of conferences that are coming up and that you should seriously consider attending if you are close or can travel:

PHP Beneleux Conference
January 28 & 29 – Antwerp, Belgium – Tickets start at 150 €
We are very happy to sponsor this great conference with many international speakers. Previous editions received a lot of good feedback, we expect the same this year.

Symfony Live 2011 US edition
February 8-9 – San Francisco, US – Tickets: US$ 299
We are sponsoring the first edition of the Symfony Live conference in the US. For those Symfony developers that can’t travel to Paris, this is a must. Symfony 2 is around the corner and here you will have the chance to learn all about it.

PHP UK Conference
February 25 – London, UK – Tickets: £130
Great lineup of speakers for the 3rd 6th edition.

Symfony Live 2011 Paris edition
March 2-5 – Paris, France – Tickets: 299 €
As with the US edition, we are sponsoring Symfony Live again for a third year in a row. Symfony developers come to beautiful Paris from all over the world to meet, learn and network. The lineup of talks is top notch and Symfony 2 is expected to see the light during the conference. As if this was not enough, there’s a surprise reserved for the last session!

Confoo 2011
March 9-11 – Montreal, Canada – Tickets start at US$ 500.
Last year was the first edition of this conference, where previously was PHP Quebec. The new format features multiple tracks of PHP, Python, Ruby and .Net talks, which proved to be quite interesting learning experience for attendees and speakers alike.

More conferences are scheduled for later this year, so stay tuned to this blog for new post. If we missed any conference that should be mentioned, we would love to know about it.
