We are happy to announce we are “Lanyard Sponsors” for php|tek 2011. That’s right your fancy name badges will be held in place thanks to us. It’s a small thing, but without it all you would get is this:

php|tek was the first big PHP conference we attended many years ago. It was cool and it’s what made us aware of the impact these conferences have to the PHP community. It’s one thing to learn online, but we all know that going to a conference and listening to talks we learn all sorts of things we did not even know existed. It also gives you the opportunity to network, see what others are doing and sleep in a hotel room without your three year old waking you up in the middle of the night (not that one sleeps much in conferences anyway).

php|tek is one of the largest and most complete PHP conferences out there. The quality of the speakers are top-notch every year and there is something for every level of programmer. Here are some talks on our list:

First Class APIs by Helgi Þormar Þorbjörnsson & Profiling PHP Applications by Derick Rethans are at the same time. Darn! Oh the indecision… any suggestions?

Introducing Zend Framework 2.0 by Matthew Weier O’Phinney is a must for ZF aficionados. We are looking forward to seeing the new ZF 2.0 features.

Designing Beautiful Software by Matthew Weier O’Phinney also.

We want to know what you are looking forward to and why? Please use the comments below to voice your opinion. I think the challenge for this conference is choosing which talk to go to. For a full schedule go to http://tek11.phparch.com/schedule/
