My first blog post! Hi, my name is Jonathan H. Wage and I am an open source developer for the Doctrine Project. I am a full-time employee at ShopOpenSky.com where we use MongoDB, Symfony2, and the Doctrine MongoDB ODM in production. I am also the primary developer of the Doctrine MongoDB ODM which is a popular tool for mapping objects in PHP to data in MongoDB collections.

Pablo Godel and ServerGrove have contributed lots of resources and bug fixes to Doctrine over the years. They have helped evolve the Doctrine MongoDB ODM to what it is today. That is why I am happy to announce today that I have partnered with ServerGrove to join our expertise building scalable web applications on MongoDB and offer a new MongoDB hosting product that will integrate with their existing VPS and shared hosting plans. You can sign up for a beta invite at MongoDBhosting.com.

The service is a highly scaleable MongoDB hosting solution offering both shared and dedicated mongod instances.  It can be accessed from your existing ServerGrove hosting account from within our network or remotely from any hosting server out there. It removes the pain of having to manage and worry about the memory usage of MongoDB as our service will take care of this for you. The service features a convenient way to manage your MongoDB hosting from our existing Control Panel. We will even offer a small free plan for you to test out MongoDB. If this interests you, please sign up for the beta today and we’ll send you a notification when the beta invites start.

If you have any questions regarding our new MongoDB hosting, feel free to contact us.
